Having practiced law for over 20 years, Ingrid began her legal career in Michigan working for a small general practice firm. Her specialty was criminal defense and family law. After moving to Illinois, she worked at the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office for over six years. At the State's Attorney's Office, Ingrid started in the Child Support Enforcement Division, protecting the rights of individuals who were not receiving their court ordered child support. Ingrid also worked in the criminal division of the State's Attorney's Office, handling thousands of cases, from traffic offenses to felonies. She was the lead attorney in the misdemeanor Domestic Violence and DUI courtrooms during her tenure and participated in numerous motions and trials. As a felony assistant, she worked on cases involving drug offenses, felony DUIs, property and violent crimes. She also assisted police officers in procuring search warrants and reviewing cases for felony status. Ingrid has been in private practice for approximately 13 years, focusing on criminal defense, family law and wills.
Her experience in the State's Attorney's Office provided her valuable insight into what is required for the State be successful in a prosecution and allowed her to hone her litigation skills. She has also represented hundreds of clients in cases involving dissolution of marriage, child custody issues, child support, adoption, post decree matters, immigration issues and the preparation of wills. While her experience and litigation skills are invaluable in her law practice, it's the personal attention and compassion she gives to each client that sets Ingrid apart.
